Two awards programs, the National Resilient Australia Awards and the NSW Get Ready Community Award, which recognise the resilience of communities when faced with disaster, are open for applications.
Both Awards programs close on 31 May 2018.
The Resilient Australia Awards are a national program to recognise and promote initiatives that strengthen community disaster resilience.
The five award categories of the Resilient Australia Awards are business, community, government, school and a peoples choice photography award.

The NSW Get Ready Community Award is an annual award that celebrates a NSW community that has made exceptional progress towards making their community more prepared and better able to recover from disasters.
The NSW Get Ready Community Award is open to community groups and organisations which have positively affected the whole community with their projects and initiatives.
