Accelerating Commercialisation Grant recipients announced
Another thirteen Australian companies have been offered assistance to propel their innovative ideas from the drawing board into the marketplace under the Australian Government’s Entrepreneurs’ Programme. Industry and Science Minister Ian Macfarlane announced $5.1 million in funding under the Entrepreneurs’ Programme’s Accelerating Commercialisation element that will help businesses take their products into Australian and international markets.

Submission to review of regulatory arrangements for the National Broadband Network
On 13 February 2014, the NBN Panel of Experts released a Regulatory Framing Paper to take soundings from the industry and the public on key factors that should be considered for a new broadband regulatory framework, to ensure Australians have access to fast and affordable broadband, and that maximise efficiency, choice and innovation. The Personal Property Securities Register (PPSR) is an online register introduced on 30 January 2012, to protect your business when buying, selling or leasing out property including valuable goods, stock, vehicles, machinery, office equipment, crops and livestock – almost anything except real estate. The period of grace to register your assets ends on 30 January 2014.
