Screenworks is hosting two events for screen practitioners in October 2018 and is calling for applications for its next development lab for regional screen writers.
Distribution: What are your options? – 19 October 2018
A one day workshop that provides insight into a range of opportunities for distribution of screen content, presented by Screenworks as part of the Byron Bay International Film Festival. The guest speakers represent both traditional and non-traditional distribution models and are highly experienced in selling Australian screen content around the world. Creating A Web Series – 25 and 26 October 2018
A two day seminar on how to write, create and find an audience for a web series. On Day 1 Mike Jones (Deadlock) will deliver a one day workshop on story development and the writing process for online episodic series. On Day 2 a representative from Screen Australia will talk about funding, initiatives and industry opportunities and two of Australia’s most successful web series creators will present case studies and ‘how to’ sessions. Best Medicine Script Development Lab
Screenworks in partnership with Matchbox Pictures and the support of Screen Australia and Create NSW are proud to be delivering the Best Medicine Script Development Lab – a five-day script development lab that will be held in Lismore NSW from 12 November – 16 November 2018 with the internationally acclaimed writer Holly Phillips as one of the development consultants.
