Our regional councils play an important role in supporting our communities, not just through the delivery of services, but also providing financial support through grants and sponsorship programs. Below is a snap shot of current local government funding opportunities in the Northern Rivers.
Byron Local Heritage Places funding – The focus for the 2020/21 Local Heritage Places Grants is conservation works that enhance individual places, buildings and historic streetscapes. Closes 21 August 2020
Kyogle Community Assistance Fund – open for one-off grants of up to $1,000 for organisations and $500 for individuals for projects with matching funds. Closes 31 August 2020
Lismore Business Flood Ready Grant – Lismore businesses in flood-prone areas are eligible for grants of up to $25,000 to get ready for the next flood. Closes 15 September 2020
Richmond Valley Community Financial Assistance Program – For community projects in the Richmond Valley, up to $5,000 available. Opens 1 September, closes 29 September 2020
Clarence Valley Community initiatives Program – The Community Initiatives Program supports not for profit organisations to produce new or continuing projects and initiatives for the benefit of the Clarence Valley community. Opens 1 September 2020 closes 31 October 2020
