More than 50 people attended RDA-NR’s data workshops during June. The workshops, held in Ballina, Lismore, Murwillumbah, Byron Bay and Casino were led by Geof Webb and Kyllie Walker.
The hands on data workshop introduced participants to the Australia Bureau of Statistics ‘Table Builder’, a free online tool that enables anyone to access data from the last three Census surveys and download it for analysis and use in reports, feasibility studies and funding applications. The workshop also introduced the new data portal from RDA-Northern Rivers, which is currently under construction and more details about it will be published shortly.
Participants hailed from a wide variety of organisations and roles, from business consultants and local government to community service organisations and service providers. The feedback has been very positive so far and we look forward to providing stakeholders with more regional data during the coming months.
