The NSW Government’s Green Globe Awards are a recognition of leadership, commitment and innovation in sustainability from NSW businesses and local government. The Awards showcase the people and projects making real progress toward sustainability.
The 2018 Awards were announced by Environment Minister Gabrielle Upton who said the environmental awards honour people and projects across all sectors in NSW. She recognised past winners for setting the standard for a sustainable and clean NSW.
The Northern Rivers has had it’s fair share of Green Globe winners in the past including Lismore City Council, Brookfarm, Dirt Girl World and Stone & Wood among others.
The Awards recognise a broad range of sustainability work taking place in or across NSW. They’re inviting a diverse range of people and organisations to join – from big multinational to tiny social enterprises and everything in between.
An independent judging panel will choose the Green Globe Award finalists.
Entries are open until 5pm 8 June 2018 and winners will be announced at an invitation-only award ceremony on 4 October 2018.
Information about the awards can be found on the NSW Office of Environment & Heritage website.
