NSW TAFE have announced a new Aboriginal Pathways in Land and Environment certificate in bushfoods.

The Certificate III in Production Horticulture – Bushfoods provides an opportunity for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people wanting to work in or start a horticultural business with bushfoods. The course focuses on growing bushfoods organically for commercial purposes.

Graduates will have skills in environmentally sustainable practices, propagation of rare and developing varieties, and will be able to work on bushfood plantations or commence their own enterprise.

Under the Aboriginal Pathways Program people who live or work in NSW could have their study, accommodation and travel fully funded. Flexible payment options are available for people from outside NSW.
