The Murwillumbah and District Business Chambers (MDBC) has two opportunities for local businesses to get a share of the local tourism spend.

On the Wednesday 9 November 2016 at 6pm there will be a free presentation at the Murwillumbah Showground about “how to get more of your share of the tourist dollar”.

The presentation will look at opportunities for local business to benefit from increased campers in Murwillumbah since the start of camping at the Murwillumbah Showground earlier this year.

Caretaker Greg Fallon has joined forces with Rob Catania from Free Range Camping to make it as easy as possible for these campers to see what businesses there are in town. With the latest in marketing and social media app technology, Rob has created an opportunity for Murwillumbah and District to be the pilot of this new opportunity.

Rob will also be presenting at the November Chamber Breakfast at Greenhills on Tweed Friday 4th November 2016.

In a second opportunity for local businesses, MDBC are putting together a simple voucher sheet and town map to entice tourists to stay longer and experience more of Murwillumbah.

The vouchers and map brochure will be available at the Tweed Regional Art Gallery, the Tourist Information Centre, in tourist accommodation houses and be distributed by the show society to those visitors attending events the over the year.

For more information about the vouchers or to RSVP for the presentation email natascha@murwillumbahchamber.com.au or visit the MDBC website.
