North Coast TAFE’s Events and Tourism and Hospitality programs aim to meet the skills required to service a growing Chinese tourism market. A 2016 study tour to China has been included as an option in the Events and Hospitality, and Events and Tourism double diploma programs. Tourism Accommodation Australia Chairman, Martin Ferguson has welcomed the news of increased tourism numbers from China but stresses the importance of meeting the demand for skilled staff for Australia to remain an attractive destination.
