26 March 2014: READ ABOUT THE SUBMISSION IN THE NORTHERN STAR
On 13 February 2014, the NBN Panel of Experts released a Regulatory Framing Paper to take soundings from the industry and the public on key factors that should be considered for a new broadband regulatory framework, to ensure Australians have access to fast and affordable broadband, and that maximise efficiency, choice and innovation.
In February 2014, RDA-NR CEO Kimmaree Thompson outlined a business case for and strategy to fast-track business access to commercial-grade broadband in the Northern Rivers to the Parliamentary Secretary for Communications, the Hon Paul Fletcher MP at a meeting arranged by The Hon. Member for Page, Mr Kevin Hogan. The discussion paper was made available on the RDA-NR website and comments and input invited.
Feedback from the discussion paper was included in the RDA-NR submission that has now been sent to the Department of Communications NBN Regulatory Review.
